The World's best Z3 Armrest just got better! LeatherZ has
added over one inch to the width of the Mark2 Armrest. The added surface area
will translate to a cleaner look and more importantly, a more comfortable spot
for your arm.
The Mark2 Armrest was completely designed and developed
by LeatherZ. After working with Mark1 Armrests by hand almost every day for
over 3 years, studying every OEM armrest we could find, and after spending countless
hours listening to our customers, we figure we know more about armrests than
any other company on the planet. The Mark2 is designed to look and perform like
an original BMW part. It's no mistake that it looks like an E36/E46 armrest.
The Mark2 is designed to work with the ""new style"" BMW cupholder, which has
a coinholder and 2 forward-located cupholders. We make each one by hand and
use the same leathers that have made LeatherZ famous. Although we don't recommend
it, Mark2 armrests can withstand the weight of most people! Under worst-case
loads concentrated at the cantelivered point near the e-brake, test Mark2's
did not fail. Please choose between the Lid Only Option and the Complete Unit
Option. The Lid Only Option should be selected if you already have the BMW coinholder/cupholder/base.
If you do not have the base, please select the Complete Unit Option which includes
the BMW base and is fully assembled.

Old vs. New - How the new Mark2
Armrest compares to the original.
At 7 inches wide, the new Mark2 Armrest is 1 inch wider than the original design.
The biggest difference you will notice is in the added comfort. This is a case
where that extra little bit goes along way. With more surface area, your right
elbow will have more room, not only make your driving experience more enjoyable,
but also eliminating the need to fight with your passenger over valuable elbow
real estate. The new wider Mark2 Armrest not just in improved in the function
department. Form gets an upgrade as well. The added width fills the gap between
the seats better than the original all the while keeping the graceful curves
the Mark2 is known for. All the features of the Original remain: the new Mark2
Armrest still matches the height of the Door Armrests (giving you a level seating
position), the Armrest is still hinged giving you access to the second cupholder
and the storage area, and the added width does not get in the way of the Emergency
Brake.
Which Configuration is Right
For My Car?
The LeatherZ Mark2+ Armrest is available in 3 configurations: Lid Only, Complete
Unit with Large Storae Base, or Complete Unit with 2-Cupholder Base. To determine
which configuration is right for your car, we have outlined your options.

Lid Only Option: If your car is
equipped with the BMW 2-Cupholder Base (BMW #: 8 413 622), you should
select the 'Lid Only Option'. We include the necessary hardware, the
correct sized drill bit and installation instructions to add the Mark2+
Armrest to your Cupholder Base.

Complete Unit Options. If your Z3 Does
not have the 2-Cupholder option shown above, you will need to select the
Complete Unit option with one of our 2 bases. If your car is equipped
with one of the below consoles, you will need to select the Complete Unit
Option.

Complete Unit with Large Storage Base:
If you are looking to maximize the amount of storage in your Z3, our
Large Storage Base is the perfect solution. With a storage area almost
twice the size of the 2-Cupholder option, the Large Storage is perfect
for all your necessities. We designed the unit with the same, large cupholder
to keep your drink out of your habds and added a small pocket storage
spot that is perfect for your loose change, iPod shuffle/Mini, etc.

Complete Unit with 2-Cupholder Base:
If you are looking for great convenience, the 2-Cupholder is a great
choice. While you do not have as large a Storage area as the Large Storage
Base, you gain an extra cupholder. The coinholder is perfect for keeping
your quarters, nickels and dimes stowed.
