Considered by many to be the World's best BMW shift knob, this OEM BMW Shift
Knob comes straight from the ZHP 330. At 3" tall, it is 3/4" shorter than the
stock BMW Shift Knobs and is slightly weighted (5.4 ounces). The shorter height
and added weight make for smoother shifting. Available in Black Leather with
a polished ring at the base. On a standard shift knob, choose the shift pattern
insert of your choice: 5-speed, 6-speed, ///M, 5-speed ///M, or 6-speed M-color
Stripes.

A quick note about the wiring
Up until 2001, BMW used a specific wiring harness on all illuminated shift
knobs. Beginning in 2001 cars, BMW changed to a different connector. Unfortunately
I have tried to get the 2001+ connector but BMW does not sell it on it's own.
As such, I only sell illuminated shift knobs with the pre-2001 connector. I
also include the male, car side of the connector along with a pair of 3M scotch
locks that allows you to easily and quickly either add the connector to your
car if it is not pre-wired or switch to the pre-2001 connector if your car is
a later model car. If you absolutely, positively have to have the 2001+ connector
and your car is equipped with the connector, you can send me your stock shift
knob and I can use the connector from it.
Why the M 6 Speed insert costs more
The Illuminated M 6 Speed Insert is difficult to get. The only way I can get
this insert is to purchase a second shift knob from BMW with this particular
insert. If you want to save the $115 charge, you can send me the insert from
your stock shift knob and I can use it. Please call me for more details.
